Hello, I’m Ali and I am a people photographer. Here’s a picture of me and a friend of mine after a long wedding day!
There is something wonderful about capturing emotions and moments that you can only get from photographing people. I am right at home photographing a wedding day.
I’ve always used photographs as a form of memory. From the day my parents first bought a point-and-shoot digital camera back in around 2005, I seemingly had it on me at all times and was always ‘that guy’ with the camera at parties. I document things that I know I’ll want to remember and I photograph a wedding day exactly as I would want a photographer to document my own. Natural, artistic photos with minimal posing and most importantly, no cringe! I want the moments captured to be real, full of fun, as they actually happened on the day – as they deserve to be.
A brief bit about me: I was brought up in Somerset, studied Biology at Birmingham and then set up a wedding photography business fresh out of uni back in 2011! I spent a few years living in London and now Bristol is my home with my wife and 3-legged cat Boris. In the Winter months, I love to travel, do a lot of bikepacking, I make weird electronic music, bake bread, develop film in our downstairs bathroom, renovate our old wonky Victorian house and explore the UK in my campervan.
I am currently living in Bristol, but I travel all over the UK with my wedding photography and sometimes even further afield. I have photographed weddings in Brighton, Bristol, Bath, Kent, Surrey, London, Derbyshire, Dorset, Wiltshire, Hampshire, Herefordshire, Shropshire, Wales, Cornwall, Devon, Sussex, Lancashire, France, Portugal and of course my current home Somerset. I have many more areas to add to the list this Summer! I love to travel, so if you are having a destination wedding, get in touch and I’ll make it happen.
If you would like to book me for your wedding, or are just interested to know what it costs, please do get in touch by clicking here. Popular dates often get booked up 12 months in advance so get in touch soon. Don’t be shy!
