As a wedding photographer, there’s nothing quite like the buzz of shooting at a new venue for the first time. I’d heard great things about Homme House, but wow—it completely stole my heart! Tucked away in the Herefordshire countryside, this place is a dream. From the moment I stepped inside, I was hooked on the way the light poured through the grand windows, making everything feel soft, warm, and magical.
But the real magic? That happened outside. The couple chose to have their ceremony in the gardens, right in front of an old, charming tower, and it was pure perfection. The setting felt like something out of a fairytale—lush greenery, a gentle breeze, and a whole lot of love in the air. Standing there, capturing those moments as they exchanged vows, I couldn’t help but feel incredibly lucky to do this job.
After the ‘I dos,’ the celebrations spilled out into the gardens, where guests were treated to some seriously fun lawn games. And let me tell you, the egg and spoon race was no joke! Competitive spirits came out, heels were kicked off, and I don’t think I’ve ever seen a more intense battle for balance. It made for some absolutely hilarious photos—who knew a wedding day could include so much running and cheering?
I left Homme House with a full heart and a camera roll packed with golden moments. It was a wedding filled with joy, laughter, and the most gorgeous colour palette, and I already can’t wait to shoot there again. If you’re getting married at Homme House (or anywhere else that has both romance and egg and spoon races), I’d love to be there to capture it all!
