As a Midelney Manor wedding photographer, I get to capture some of the most incredible weddings, and this one was no exception. With a stunning setting, a beautiful summer’s day, and a couple madly in love, it was everything a wedding should be. From the morning preparations in Taunton to the heartfelt ceremony at St Mary Magdalene Church and the breathtaking reception at Midelney Manor, this was a day to remember.

The morning started with the bride getting ready at home in Taunton, surrounded by excitement (and maybe a few last-minute hair and makeup touch-ups). Meanwhile, the groomsmen suited up at The Castle Hotel—the perfect spot for some sharp, pre-wedding portraits before heading to the church.

St Mary Magdalene Church in Taunton provided a beautiful and traditional setting for the ceremony. Sunlight streamed through the stained-glass windows as vows were exchanged, happy tears were shed, and confetti was enthusiastically thrown!

Then, it was off to Midelney Manor, and wow—what a venue! The gardens at Midelney Manor are absolutely stunning, full of charm and character, making them the perfect backdrop for relaxed couple portraits and plenty of fun, candid moments. Guests enjoyed drinks in the sunshine before moving into a big, elegant canvas marquee set up in the garden for the wedding breakfast and speeches.

The speeches were full of laughter, heartfelt moments, and just the right amount of embarrassment for the groom. As the sun began to set, the gardens became even more magical, with golden light filtering through the trees—ideal for sneaking away for a few more portraits before the evening celebrations began.
