Who we are

Our website address is: https://alipaul.com. We are Ali Paul Photography, operating as a data controller under UK GDPR. If you have any privacy concerns, you can contact me directly at hello[a]alipaul.com.

What personal data we collect and why

Contact Form: When you contact us via the website form, we collect your name, email address, and your message. This information is collected solely for the purpose of replying to your enquiry and discussing your wedding photography requirements. We do not add this information to any marketing mailing lists.

Photographs: By the nature of wedding photography, capturing identifiable images of you and your guests constitutes processing personal data. This is done under the lawful basis of legitimate interest and to fulfill our contractual obligations to you.

Cookies

Our website uses minimal cookies necessary for the site to function properly. We also use analytical tools like Google Analytics to track generalised visitor behaviour, which you can opt out of via your browser settings. We do not use login or comment cookies, as visitors do not create accounts or leave public comments on this site.

Embedded content from other websites

Pages on this site may include embedded content (e.g., videos, images, Instagram feeds). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

Who we share your data with

We never sell your data. We only share essential information with secure third-party platforms required to run the business. This includes our email provider, website host, accounting software, and our client gallery delivery platform.

How long we retain your data

If you make an enquiry but do not book, your contact details are deleted after 12 months. For booked clients, we retain contracts, invoices, and communication for up to 7 years to comply with UK tax laws. Final wedding photographs are archived indefinitely as a backup service for our clients, unless you explicitly request their deletion.

What rights you have over your data

You can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
